DBTuna is easy to use and you can deploy it immediately. It does not required any agents to be installed on the monitored database server and in fact does not require any additional database objects. Everything resides on the machine running DBTuna, which is all contained in a small easy to install package.

A single installation of DBTuna can be used to monitor any number of MySQL, SQL Server, Sybase ASE and Oracle database instances, as well as any NetApp Filer.

Is the trial version fully functional?

Yes! The trial version is the same as the commercial version, with the exception that it is time limitted.

N.B. A single installation of DBTuna can be used to monitor any number of MySQL, SQL Server, Sybase ASE and Oracle database instances, as well as any NetApp Filer.

You can monitor as many different platforms as you like during the trial period!

Which Platforms does DBTuna Support?

The DBTuna software itself can run on either Windows (XP or later) or Linux (Any version including 32bit and 64bit). All pre-requisites are contained within the DBTuna package therefore you do not have to install any additional components.

To try out the software you can run it on a desktop machine or laptop, but for an enterprise deployment we recommend installing on a central dedicated server.

DBTuna does not require any software to be installed on the monitored platforms which means that it can monitor databases running on ANY Hardware or OS.

How Long does the trial last?

Once you complete the download form, you will receive an email containing a license key valid for 7 days.

The License key starts as soon as you fill out the form.

DBTuna is a very powerful product, and many people solve big problems just within the trial period. If you do need longer to fully evaluate the product though, just get in touch and we will arrange an extended key.

At the end of your trial period, the DBTuna collector will stop monitoring, but you can still view the historical data in the Web Based User Interface.

How do I buy DBTuna?

We license DBTuna on a per-instance basis (i.e. for each MySQL Server, Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase ASE Instance) based on a 12 month subscription.

For DBTuna/NetAPP we license DBTuna for each NetApp Filer you wish to monitor.

We have a different unit price depending on the database server size, type and role, so just let us know the following for each instance that you would like to monitor:

1. Type of Database e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase ASE
2. Number of CPU/Cores that the database has access to
3. Role of Database Instance e.g. production, dev/test, Master, Slave etc.
